Transforming Cone Manufacturing

HBI International has engaged Abellio Productions LTD to produce in a cleanroom type environment. This means several procedures must be followed to ensure hygiene standards are guaranteed.

• All raw materials are protected from exposure to bacteria and dirt potentially carried by bare hands. All our Machine Operators, whether they are handling raw materials or finished cones, must wear gloves. Gloves must be changed on a regular basis to avoid contamination across common touch points around the machines and production area. This is unique in the cone manufacturing industry, where, for Abellio Productions, not even one bare hand touches the cone. This guarantees compliance with known microbial test requirements. Can hand rolled cones make the same claim? ​
• Hairnets and beard snoods (where applicable) are also worn by all personnel, contractors and visitors who enter our production environment.
• The whole site works to an extensive pest control monitoring program, again, ensuring continued high hygiene standards are met and protection of the raw materials and final product being dispatched from Abellio Productions.
• The cleanroom is made up of washable surfaces from floor to ceiling, facilitating the ease of completing a routine cleaning schedule within the production area as well as all workstations.
